Fire's Burning / London's Burning

A simple campfire song. Sing it as a round; it's beautiful! Derived from the original "London's Burning", said to be about the 1666 Great Fire of London.

Traditional version:
Fire's burning, fire's burning,
Draw nearer, draw nearer;
In the gloaming, in the gloaming,
Come sing and be merry.

Modern version:
Fire's burning, fire's burning,
Come nearer, come nearer;
In the glowing, in the glowing
Come sing, come sing.

Original:
London's burning, London's burning,
Fetch the engines, fetch the engines,
Fire, fire! Fire, fire!
Pour on water, pour on water.
